Council Member Ray Tretheway joined Firefighters For Sacramento City at Terrace Park in north Natomas for a BBQ celebrating the victory by the Terrace Park Neighborhood Association to secure a new school and park in their neighborhood. Firefighters For Sacramento City also took the opportunity to listen to Natomas residence's public safety concerns.

Of particular importance, and a main topic of discussion, was the need for another Fire Station in the area to the West of I-5. This area has seen enormous residential and commercial growth while response times from existing Fire Stations exceed standards, putting the residents who live and work there at unacceptable risk.
